IT and computing
Across many other areas of the curriculum, children use IT to support their learning. In Early Years, children have access to Learn Pads and throughout the rest of the school they can use Chromebooks in the class. The children use these to support their learning of spellings, times tables and grammar. They also research and present their work using Google Drive.
Computing and Digital Citizenship is also taught weekly across the school from year 1 to Year 6 by a specialist. During these lessons, children learn how to behave responsibly and use the internet safely and purposefully. They also learn how to code and use different forms of communication.
The Internet is a fantastic resource to support us in our learning. Keeping safe whilst using the Internet is very important. We regularly share with parents articles and websites to help you keep your children safe online at home in our Newsfeed.
